Jeannie plays Candy Crush.
Dad drinks too much.
Mom works her way through every puzzle in Games magazine.
Joey’s looking for his dream girl online. Too short, swipe
left. Weird nose, swipe left.
Our hamster, Peanut, runs. At least Peanut’s getting
exercise.
You make a valid point. Nice write!
ReplyDeleteEveryone here probably has the strongest finger muscles ever though. ha ha Nicely done!
ReplyDelete"Dad drinks too much" -- I can certainly relate.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that. :( Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteSimply awesome. You made me laugh and you made me think.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I always hope to make people think.
DeleteThis is great. I love the narrator's matter-of-fact tone. And I love how much you tell us about this family through their actions. Nicely done! :)
ReplyDeletePeanuts the only one having any fun!
ReplyDeleteoh this is just awesome. so bloody awesome. oddly, it (the pace) reminds me of a song that i immediately thought of when i first saw this week's prompt: Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People
ReplyDeleteI can see that... "Robert's got a quick hand... Daddy works a long day." Good song. Thanks for the compliment!
DeleteLOL Each of them is completely into their own thing...even the hamster running on the wheel to a destination with no end.
ReplyDeleteYup, we all have different methods of avoiding things. Or maybe they're more aptly described as coping mechanisms? Probably better to make them healthy. Peanut's the smartest one of the bunch!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. Sometimes there's a fine line between coping and avoidance.
DeleteVery thought-provoking. We're all going round and round in circles and getting nowhere. Things do seem that way sometimes.
ReplyDelete"Too short, swipe left. Weird nose, swipe left." So much said in those quick swipes.
ReplyDeleteLoved the swiping! Think I'd rather avoid the spinning wheel, though.
